At CCA Floors & Interiors, we believe good business and good citizenship go hand in hand. Our corporate reach extends throughout the world and we work hard to leave a positive legacy for tomorrow. Through environmentally conscious initiatives and meaningful philanthropy, we uphold our commitment to being a socially responsible company every day.

Environmental Initiatives

Minimizing our impact on the environment is a point of view we take seriously though our environmental mission, known as “Greenality.” Greenality is our commitment and responsibility to our local community, customers, suppliers and employees to implement innovative and responsible environmental procedures by

  • Recycling ALL materials that leave our facility
  • Buying green products
  • Selling green products
  • Recognizing and rewarding employees who buy environmentally friendly products and act responsibly toward our environment

Green office practices

CCA Floors & Interiors GREEN Committee, established in 2009, has converted the offices to using eco-friendly cleaning products and recycled paper materials as well as installed energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs and a new energy efficient refrigerator. The committee recently completed an energy audit and is in the process of implementing its recommendations, including the installation of dual flush toilets and motion sensing lighting.

Green products and LEED compliance

We also offer recycled and environmentally friendly flooring products that are an essential part of a building’s qualification as LEED compliant. CCA Floors & Interiors maintains vendor relationships with several manufacturers that produce some of the greenest floor coverings available, including Patcraft ECOworx-backed carpet tille and Forbo Marmoleum linoleum. All of our sales representatives are U.S. Green Building Council-trained, and we are able to provide an Environmental Impact Statement to customers to show the positive impact of recycling or diverting a certain amount of carpet. As a commitment to doing greener business, CCA Floors & Interiors has four LEED AP-certified employees on staff.

Starnet Reclamation Program

Through our partnership with Starnet Worldwide, CCA Floors & Interiors participates in the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE). We reclaim used carpet from any mill, in any material, installed at any date, anywhere in North America and divert it from landfills to be recycled, burned for energy or used to manufacture other products. Last year alone we saved more than 7,000 cubic yards of landfill space.

Broad Run Recycling Program

CCA Floors & Interiors has partnered with Broad Run Construction Waste Recycling in Northern Virginia, which will reclaim or recycle almost all post-construction waste. By the end of 2011, CCA Floors & Interiors believes it will be able to divert 100% of all materials sent to the facility.

CCA Floors & Interiors is dedicated to supporting the causes that are nearest to the hearts and lives of our employees. Through our annual charitable giving program, employees select organizations that are meaningful to them and CCA will contribute or match employee donations of up to $500 each, $10,000 per year.
